A recruiting region is specific to 1 or more academic levels of an academic unit. You can define a region by selecting:
  • Geographical criteria, such as states, cities, or postal codes.
  • Educational institutions or districts.
Region is a Workday-delivered organization type. When you create a student recruiting region, Workday automatically assigns it a region usage of Recruiting. Recruiting regions have no impact on regions or region hierarchies that are already in use.
  1. Access the
    Create Recruiting Region
    task.
  2. As you complete the task, consider:
    Field

    Availability Date
    Workday-delivered validations don't use the

    Subtype
    Select
    Region
    .
    Visibility
Specify whether the region and its members should be visible on the
    Assign Roles
tab. You can make it visible to administrators in this region, all regions, all employees, or all members of this region.
    External URL
Example: URL for an online map or other external source that represents the region
  3. On the
    Assign Roles

  4. On the

You can select from the postal code sets you imported into Workday or created manually.

    United States of America
    .
    Educational District

    Educational District

When you add or edit student prospects, Workday automatically assigns the region to the recruitment records that qualify.
(Optional) Define region hierarchies to enable reporting across regions.
Example: To report on the recruiting activity for Kansas, create a region hierarchy that includes both the Kansas City and Wichita regions.
