Steps: Set Up Student Recruiting
You can set up student recruiting to manage prospective students.
- Access theBusiness Process Security Policies for Functional Areareport.Set up business processes and security policies in the Student Recruiting functional area.Security:Security ActivationandSecurity Configurationdomains in the System functional area.
- Set up dashboards and worklets for student recruiting.Configure and enable the Student Recruiting dashboard and worklets.
- (Optional) Create Locations.From theLocation Usagesprompt, select theCampusoption for locations that are available for assignment on student recruitments.
- (Optional) Access theMaintain Campus Assignment Policytask.Verify the allowed campus locations for student recruiting events.Workday also uses this policy to define the allowed campus locations for:
- Student applications and admissions decisions.
- Program of study and course offerings.
By default, Workday allows all locations with a usage ofCampus.Security:Set Up: Campus Assignmentdomain in the Student Records functional area. - Enable activity streams for student recruiting.Enable and configure security for these activity streams:
- Student Recruiting Campaign
- Student Recruiting Event
- Student Recruitment
Example: Application reviewers for subordinate academic units that admit students can view and add comments related to a recruitment when given access to the activity stream. - (Optional) Access theMaintain Student Prospect Stage Progression Rulestask.When you select an update action and stages for the action, Workday automatically advances prospects after they complete the action.Security:Manage: Student Prospect Stage Progressiondomain in the Student Recruiting functional area.
- Access theCreate Postal Code Settask.You can create postal codes to define recruiting regions that align with geographic areas, such as College Board regions.For U.S. postal codes, use 5 digits. When a prospect has a 9-digit postal code, Workday truncates the code to 5 digits before matching the prospect to a region.Security: These domains:

- (Optional) Configure integrations for student recruiting.
- (Optional) Generate unique Student IDs and display them in prospect profiles.
