Steps: Configure Customers
- Define customer categories and customer groups.
- Define payment terms and payment types.
- Configure theCustomer Eventbusiness process and security policy.
- Security:Set Up: Customer Maintenancedomains in the Customers functional area.
After you create an account for your customers in Workday, you can configure default attributes
for each customer to conduct business with them.
- (Optional) You can use theContractsprofile group of a customer to create, edit, and view a summary of all projects, contracts, and related reports.
- (Optional) You can view, edit, and pay invoices from theInvoices and Paymentsprofile group. You can also use this profile group to record and apply payments.See Klantfacturen maken.
- (Optional) You can use theAssigned Rolesprofile group to view or assign workers to roles.As you assign roles, note that:
- Assigned roles inherit down through customer hierarchies when applicable.
- You can restrict individual assignments to 1 worker per role by selectingRestricted to Single Assignmentcheck box in theMaintain Assignable Rolestask.
- (Optional) You can add custom reports relevant to a specific customer on theCustom Reportsprofile group.
When you click
Submit
, Workday initiates the Customer
Event
business process.You can view the changes made to the customer and associated approver on the
Process History
profile group. The grid displays only the
first 10 business processes. Click View All
to see more
entries.After configuring your customer, you can start generating customer invoices.
