Example: Progress Prospect to Matriculated Student
This example illustrates how to evaluate a student applicant and advance them from the prospect stage to a student after reviewing their application.
Marilyn, the Admissions counselor for Alma Mater University (AMU), is trying to admit Harriet Potter, an admissions applicant, as a student for the Fall 2022 Semester.
- The program of study for the applicant can't be Fast Path enabled.
- Assign an application grouping for the owning academic unit and academic level.
- Create applicant types from theMaintain Student Applicant Typetask.
- Applicants either completed or waived all their action items.
- Security: Manage Student Applicant and Manage: Application Groupings domain in the Admissions functional area.
- Access theFind Student Prospectsreport and clickHarriet Potter.
- ClickApplication Details.
- From the related actions menu of the student application, select to evaluate the applicant for admission.
- After completing the evaluation process, selectAdmissions Assessmentsand enter a Decision Recommendation ofAdmit.
- ClickRender Decisionand admit the applicant.
- Access theView Application Groupingtask.
- Select from the related actions menu.
- SelectHarriet Potter, then clickFinalize. Confirm and submit to publish the admissions decision.
- Access the profile for Harriet Potter from theFind Student Prospectreport. Then from the related actions menu of the student application, select .
- SelectAccepted Offer of Admission.
Harriet Potter is now a matriculated student in Workday and has a student record.
Assign onboarding action items for Harriet so that she can register for classes.
