Concept: Personio Integration

Overview

You can set up the Personio integration to sync your employee data with Peakon automatically.

Configuration

Peakon synchronizes changes from Personio daily. The first full sync runs during the initial setup. You can manually trigger a full sync to troubleshoot errors by selecting
Synchronize now
 from the integration page in Peakon. A full sync takes up to 30 minutes to complete.
You can't edit connection settings for the Personio integration when a sync is running. For configuration changes, disconnect the integration, edit the necessary fields, reconnect the integration and initiate a full sync.
The Peakon integration page displays error messages from the sync. Identify the specific error and resolve it manually before running a manual sync, as a full sync doesn't always fix the issue.

Recommendations

Ensure that:
  • You sign in to Personio as an administrator to generate the
    API Key
    . The integration inherits permissions from the administrator account.
  • The field names for additional fields in Personio, beyond the standard fields, match the field names in Peakon. Define these attributes in Personio before setting up the integration in Peakon. You can define them in Personio's
    Allowed Employee Attributes
     section.
  • Manually run a
    Full Sync
     before a survey round to capture any updates from Personio on employee records.
  • If surveying exited employees, ensure you include personal email addresses in the sync.

Limitations

Restricted employee attributes in Peakon won’t sync from Personio. You can update these attributes manually in Peakon or remove the attribute restriction.
