Concept: HiBob Integration

Overview

You can set up the HiBob integration to sync your employee data with Peakon automatically. Peakon uses an
API token
 from HiBob to retrieve and update employee data. For consistency, Workday recommends using the same naming convention for employee fields in both systems.

Configuration

Peakon synchronizes changes from HiBob every hour. The first full sync runs during the initial setup. You can manually trigger a full sync to troubleshoot errors by selecting
Synchronize now
 from the integration page in Peakon, or set up automatic synchronization through a webhook. A full sync takes up to 30 minutes to complete.
The Peakon integration page displays error messages from the sync. If there are errors or configuration changes, run a manual sync to resolve issues.

Recommendations

Ensure that:
  • You sign in to HiBob as an administrator to generate the
    API Key
    . The integration inherits permissions from the administrator account.
  • The field names for additional fields in HiBob, beyond the standard fields, match the field names in Peakon.
  • Set up the webhook for automatic synchronization to keep your data up to date in real time.
  • Manually run a
    Full Sync
     before a survey round to capture any updates from HiBob on employee records.
  • If surveying exited employees, ensure you include personal email addresses in the sync.

Limitations

  • Peakon does not synchronize custom tables from HiBob.
  • Restricted employee attributes in Peakon won’t sync from HiBob. You can update these attributes manually in Peakon or remove the attribute restriction.
