Steps: Set Up Program Completion

Steps: Set Up Program Completion

You can configure how your institution manages program completion. Program completion is the final step of earning an educational credential in Workday Student and enables you to provide degree verification data to:
  • The National Student Clearinghouse for regulatory reporting.
  • Downstream processes outside of Workday, such as diploma processing.
  1. Configure the credentials to confer when students complete a program of study.
  2. Set up completion honors and awards.
  3. Configure security for program completion reporting fields.
Grant reporting users access to the
    Manage: Program Completion Progress
domain in the Student Records functional area so they can use the new fields in custom student graduation reports. This domain secures these fields on the Program Completion Application business object:
    • Anticipated Academic Period for Completion
    • Anticipated Conferral Date
Example: Add a reporting security group to the
    Manage: Program Completion Progress
domain so graduation analysts can build custom reports that include each student's anticipated completion period and conferral date.
  4. Configure these date controls:
    • Conferral Date
    • Program Completion Application Deadline
