Create Student Recruiting Cycles

  • Set up Student Recruiting and Admissions.
  • Security:
    Manage: Student Recruiting Campaigns
    domain in the Student Recruiting functional area.
Recruiting cycles enable you to track and measure the success of recruiting campaigns and events for 1 or more levels of an academic unit and date range.
  1. Access the
    Create Student Recruiting Cycle
    task.
  2. As you complete the task, consider:
    Field
    Description
    Name
    The name must be unique, such as:
    • AMU Undergraduate Recruiting, 2015-2016
    • School of Business Recruiting, 2015 (for undergraduate and graduate levels)
    Academic Level
    Select at least 1. You can select from academic levels that are configured to recruit students.
    Academic Units
    The prompt includes academic units that are configured for all of the selected academic levels.
    Academic Date Range
    Defines when you expect recruited prospects to matriculate. A date range can cross academic years and enables you to report on campaign activity over a specific period.
The recruiting cycle is available:
  • In the
    Find Student Recruiting Cycles
    report.
  • When creating recruiting campaigns.
  • You can edit the recruiting cycle by selecting
    Student Recruiting Cycle > Edit
    from the related actions menu.
    Before changing the academic unit, evaluate the impact on related recruiting events that have email or other engagement items. Items defined for a different academic unit might be incompatible with the recruiting cycle.
  • Create student recruiting campaigns.
