Steps: Set Up Financial Aid Communication Policies

Automatically notify students when you disburse financial aid funds or when their satisfactory academic progress (SAP) status changes.
You can assign financial aid communication policies by academic unit and level.
  1. Access the
    Edit Tenant Setup - Notifications
     task.
    You can use this task to specify notification routing rules and notification frequency for financial aid. To prevent duplicate notifications set the packaging rule set to
    Daily
    .
    • In the
      Category
       field, select
      Financial Aid
      .
    • In the
      Used for
       field, select
      Disbursements
       or
      Satisfactory Academic Progress
      .
  4. Access the
    Maintain Financial Aid Communication Policy
     task.
    Assign the financial aid communication rule set to an academic unit and level.
    Security:
    Set Up: Financial Aid Rule Sets and Policies
     domain in the Financial Aid functional area.
  5. Configure Workday to assess and send a notification automatically when a student receives a new or updated financial aid package.
When a student in the defined academic unit and level meets any of the conditions in the assigned rule set, Workday sends them the email associated with the triggering condition.
