Steps: Set Up Award Letters and College Financing Plans
You can set up financial aid award letters and College Financing Plans to communicate education costs to students and prospects. Students can view and print their award letters and College Financing Plans through Workday. Applicants can print them from the student external site.
Workday provides a standard report for award letters and College Financing Plans, but you can use a custom layout instead. Report Designer in Workday Studio enables you to customize how to present the data as well as include a logo, custom messages, and other branding details.
Example: Use Report Designer to print award letters on your official letterhead.
Workday enables you to configure award notifications that meet the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA) code of conduct and follow their guidance for improving award notifications. Workday doesn’t certify or guarantee compliance.
- Access theMaintain College Financing Plan Policytask.Assign the College Financing Plan configuration to an academic unit and level. You can also disable the configuration, which prevents all administrators and students from being able to print a College Financing Plan. - Create a custom layout for award letters or College Financing Plans with Report Designer.
- Access theMaintain Federal Student Aid Program Policytask.Select the custom layout on theFinancial Aid Award Letter Report LayoutorCollege Financing Planprompts. Then, select an option on theFinancial Aid External Site System Userprompt.
Matriculated students and admitted applicants can print their own award letters and College Financing Plans.
