Mass Job Change Table
The mass job change table is an interactive interface for viewing, editing, validating, and submitting changes for your selected population. Use these table elements when you work with a table:
Element | Description |
|---|---|
Row status summary | Displays counts for rows in the Valid,
Invalid , Not Edited , Warning, and Removed Transaction statuses. Counts reflect rows you're authorized to access. Click Refresh to update counts after a mass edit or Submit Table completes. |
Row status | Displays the validation state for each row in the Status column. |
Tabs | Dedicated tabs such as Change Job , Organization Assignments , and Compensation Change segment the view. U.S. Federal customers can also have a Personnel Action Requests tab. Tabs and subprocess fields display only for subprocesses included in both your Change Job template and the Change Job consolidated template. |
Fixed columns | Columns such as Worker , Worker ID , and Status remain visible regardless of the tab you select. |
Editable columns | Columns are based on the Change Job template you selected during initiation and your security permissions. |
Cell change indicators | Show added, modified, and removed values on supported columns on the Change Job and Organization Assignments tabs. Interact with a modified cell to view current and proposed values. |
Comments | When enabled, you can add comments in the Comment column on the Change Job tab or in Mass Edit . When you click Submit Table , comments remain on each worker's Change Job event. |
Filtering and sorting | Filter and sort data to manage the displayed population. You can save filters for future use. |
Split scrolling | The table supports scrolling when content extends beyond the visible area. |
Cell change indicators aren't available on the
Compensation Change
tab, in Mass Edit,
or in single-row edit when the flow uses the simplified Change Job
UI without subprocesses.Table Generation and Exclusions
When Workday generates a mass job change table, some workers or positions in your selected population can be excluded and don't appear as rows. Excluded positions are summarized in
Positions Excluded from Mass Action
on the My Tasks
item. For more details, see Initiate Mass Job Changes.Security
Mass action tables implement contextual and constrained security. You can view and modify rows only if you have appropriate security group access. The
Change Job
mass action type secures access to the rows on the table.Mass Job Change respects role-based and intersectional security, such as location, supervisory organization, or cost center.
The
Mass Action Event
business process supports constrained security for Mass Job Change. Domain security on the
Mass Action Events
domain in the System functional area controls access to the Start Mass Job Change
report, opening tables, and viewing processing jobs. Business process security on the Mass Action Event
business process policy in the Staffing functional area controls access to start, complete, review, and approve mass action events.
