You can set up the
Mass Action Event
business process to generate mass action tables for processing up to 5,000 transactions in bulk. Mass Job Change is a standalone table-based process. You don't need Mass Actions Workbooks to opt in to Mass Job Change.
After you opt in to Mass Job Change, you can't revert to Mass Actions Workbooks for mass Change Job processing.
Starting in 2027R1, Mass Job Change automatically replaces Mass Actions Worbooks for mass Change Job for all customers.

Assign security groups within the organizational boundaries you want users to access during mass job changes.
- Access theMaintain Change Job Templatestask.
- Create a template or select an existing template.
- As you complete the template, consider:OptionDescriptionSelect Initiation ActionsSelectMass Actions.Select Sections for TemplateSelect the sections of theChange Jobbusiness process to display on the Mass Job Change Table.Select Subprocesses for TemplateSelect subprocesses to include on the Mass Job Change Table, such asChange Organization Assignments for WorkerorPropose Compensation Change.

- In theBusiness Process Typefield, selectChange Job.
- In theTemplatesgrid, add each subprocess you want. Examples:

- SelectOK.Configuring a subprocess on your Change Job template alone doesn't display the related tab or fields on Mass Job Change Tables. You must also add the subprocess to theTemplatesgrid in theChange Jobconsolidated template.
- From the related actions menu of the business process definition, selectBusiness Process>Edit Definition.
- Enter an effective date and clickOK.
- Configure the Complete Mass Action step and create condition rules as needed.
- Add a row to theBusiness Process Stepsgrid:
- In theTypecolumn, selectAction.
- In theSpecifycolumn, selectReview Mass Action Event.
- In theGroupcolumn, assign the appropriate security group for reviewers.
- Add a row to theBusiness Process Stepsgrid:

- SelectDone.
- Assign security for review and approve actions.

- Access theActivate Pending Security Policy Changestask to confirm changes.
- Enable comments for business processes in tenant setup and on theChange Jobbusiness process definition.
- To require comments, create a condition rule on theChange Jobbusiness process initiation step:

- Set the relational operator tois blank.
- Add the rule to theValidationcolumn on the initiation step.

With review and approve steps configured, Workday routes mass action events to the assigned security groups.
When you complete the optional setup steps, you can:

- UseSubmiton complete, review, and approve inMy Tasks.
- UseSend BackandDenyon review and approve inMy Tasks.
- SelectRescindfrom the related actions menu of completedMass Action EventinMy Tasks,based on your security access.
