Set Up Real-Time Transaction Notifications

You can set up a new notification routing rule in Workday to enable cardholders to receive mobile push notifications or SMS messages for their corporate credit card purchases. These notifications are only received if the cardholder has opted into notifications on their mobile app.
  1. Access the
    Edit Tenant Setup - Notifications
     task.
  2. Under the
    Notification Delivery Settings
     section, click
    Expenses
    .
  3. Under the
    Notification Type
     grid, select the
    Override Parent Notification Type Settings
     check box.
  4. Click the prompt and select
    Create Notification Routing Rule
    .
  5. Enter a
    Name
     for the new routing rule.
  6. Select
    Mobile Push Notification
     from the
    Channel
     prompt.
  7. Select
    Immediately
     from the
    Default Frequency
     prompt.
  8. Select
    Immediately
     from the
    Allowed Frequencies
     prompt.
  9. Click
    OK
     to save your routing rule.
  10. Select
    OK
     at the bottom of the page to save the notification delivery settings.
Whenever you swipe your corporate credit card for purchases, you will receive mobile push notifications or an SMS message if you have opted into notifications on your mobile app. After clicking the bell icon in the mobile app, Workday redirects you to the
Notifications
 page where you can view the notification for the real-time transaction.
