This reference describes the report properties available from the matrix, model, and transaction report builders.

Title
Displays the report title at the top of the generated report. Applying a report title doesn't change the report name.

Default output
Enables you to select the default format for viewing the report.

Show total rows at bottom
Displays the totals at the bottom of the report. If you clear this option, the totals display at the rollup level.
You can remove the totals completely by dragging the accounts to the report rows or columns separately. Example: Instead of dragging Liabilities and Equities, drag Liabilities and Equity as separate accounts.
Alternately, you can add a custom header without displaying any values.

Show dimension column headers
Displays the headers for the dimensions or elements that you apply to the report rows.
Example: Accounts, Levels

Repeat row labels in Excel
Displays dimensions and dimension attribute elements as tab headers when you run the report as Excel.

icon on the viewer toolbar. When you select the icon, displays report details based on the report type:

Show account codes
Displays account elements prefixed with their codes in the report.

Show vertical lines
Displays vertical lines separating the columns in the report viewer.

Hides or displays line notes in report columns, in footnotes, or inline.

Displays any cell notes added to sheets in reports.

Suppress rows if all zeros or blanks
Hides rows that have no data or that have all zeros from report.

Hides columns that have no data or that have all zeros from report.

Hides columns that have no data or that have all zeros from report.

Show splits in accounts
Displays splits or sub rows for accounts that are rollups. Expand the account containing the splits to display them.

Suppress rollups
Hides rollups of expanded elements in the report builder and also hides expand or collapse controls in HTML reports.
Unchecks and disables:
  • Show total rows at bottom
  • Allow rows to be expanded

Freeze headers
Lets you freeze headers so they stay in place when you scroll the report. The lock on the icon displays closed when you freeze the headers, and open when they aren't.

Freeze row and column headers (HTML only)
Lets you freeze row and column headers so they stay in place when you scroll the report horizontally or vertically. You can freeze headers only for HTML reports.

Allow drill down
Enables users to drill down on the numbers in the report using Cell Explorer or Drill Into.

Allow rows to be expanded
Displays expand and collapse controls for elements in the report rows.
To disallow users from expanding the elements, clear the
Allow rows to be expanded
option.

Optimize report execution
Enables users to deactivate faster load time for a given report. By default, this option is enabled for an instance. You can disable the same at the report level to preserve the prior report behavior.

Show total number of rows
Displays the total number of rows at the bottom of the report.

Displays the row number next to the row in the report.

Column width
Enables you to define the column widths in pixels for the report viewer.
Column widths in reports are based on the
Column width
setting in the report properties or the specific element property in that column. The element property setting can override the report-level setting. Also underlying logic to ensure that column width doesn't truncate or wrap content in the report viewer can override both report or element level settings.

Headers
Enables you to define the report header formatting such as font size, font color, and so on.

Enables you to define the report data formatting such as font size, font color, and so on. As a default, the data formatting matches the headers.

Enables you to specify formatting rules based on report values. You can apply the rule to any row, column, or spreadsheet tab element.

Enables you to define how to display zeros in the report such as using blank, empty cells or with a dash (-).

Precision
Enables you to define the precision to use when displaying numbers such as with decimals.

Enables you to define whether to use the 1000 separator when displaying numbers.

Enables you to define the magnitude to use when displaying numbers. Example: Select

Displays a preview of the number format using the specified precision, 1,000 separator, and magnitude

Enables you to define the format for displaying negative numbers in the report.

Drill Down Choices
Enables you to define drilling options by selecting dimensions and attributes from your model. Report users can then use these options to drill down on the report details.
