Display Cell Notes in Reports

Display Cell Notes in Reports

  • Matrix report.
  • Security:
    Access Reports
     permission.
You can add cell notes to cells in the sheets where you enter data. You can display those notes in the report if the report pulls data from a cell with an attached note.
To change the note, go to the sheet that holds the data. Changing cell notes requires different permissions.
  1. Go to
    Reports
    .
  2. Open any folder to view a list of reports.
  3. Right-click a matrix report and select
    Modify
    .
  4. From the toolbar, click the
    Report Properties
     button.
  5. Click the
    Show cell notes
     check box.
  6. Click
    Apply
    .
When you run the report, you see a hyperlinked numeral next to the data to which the note is attached. Clicking the hyperlink displays the cell note at the bottom of the report under
Cell Notes
.
