Add Subtotals to Matrix Reports

Add Subtotals to Matrix Reports

Use a subtotal element to display a mathematical sum of the preceding elements. The value doesn’t consider the time, level, or dimension roll-ups that you have set for the accounts under Model Management.
  1. Go to
    Reports
    . The Overview page displays.
  2. Open a matrix report in the viewer and click
    Edit
    .
  3. In the
    Elements
    tab, expand the
    Calculations
    element.
  4. Drag the
    Subtotal
element and drop it after the elements you want to add up.
  5. From the
    Design Elements
    area, drag a
    Blank space
element and place it above the elements you want to add up.
  6. Save and run the report.
In the report viewer, a Subtotal row displays for the summed elements.
A matrix report includes these GL accounts on the rows:
  • Expenses and Allocations
  • Cost of Goods Sold
  • Net Income
  • Non-Operating Income
To subtotal only the Net Income and Non-Operating Income accounts, you drag a
Blank space
design element after Cost of Goods Sold. Next, you drag the
Subtotal
calculation element after the Non-Operating Income account.
