Reference: Calculation Element Properties
You can add calculation elements to matrix reports to display variances in data or metrics and percentages. To address changing requirements over time, you can manage the properties of these elements. See Change Element and Report Properties.
This reference describes only some of the properties for managing calculation elements. You can also create conditional formatting rules and manage the style and numeric representations. See:
Field

Label | Sets the name for the element as it displays in the report. The field appears for all calculation elements. |
Code | Sets a code for reference purposes. For example, use the code to refer to the element in a custom calculation formula. The field appears for all calculation elements. |
Display As | Sets the format for displaying the result. Select one:
The field appears only for the Difference and Custom calculation elements. The Account's display type property does not apply to a Difference calculation. |
Reverse Sign | Changes the sign of the result from negative to positive or the reverse. For example, you can show a negative variance as a positive result for an Expense account.
The option appears only for the Difference and Custom calculation elements. Also, it is available for only non-accounts calculations such as versions or time. When selected, reverses the sign of expenses, contra revenue, liabilities, equities, and contra assets. |
Difference Options | Sets which elements represent the following factors in a difference calculation:

Connected to Parameter | Indicates whether the Difference element is connected to a report parameter. When the report parameter changes, the variance data also changes.
