Offset Versions in Reports

  • An existing report with a version element.

When you use a version as an element, you can select to offset its data according to the report time element. The options available depend on the instance calendar setup.
Example: The version element is Budget 2021 and you offset the version backward by 1 year. The report displays data from 2020. You then offset the version forward by 1 year, and the report displays data from 2022.
  1. From the main menu, click
    Reports
    .
  2. Select a report with a version element.
  3. From the viewer toolbar, click
    Edit
    to open the report builder.
  4. Right-click the version element that you want to offset and select
    Properties
    .
  5. As you complete the
    Version Options
    , consider:
    Option Description
    Stratum
    Select the time period by which to offset the version.
    Offset
    Based on the stratum, enter the offset amount.
  6. Select whether to shift the version data backward or forward relative to the time element.
  7. Click
    Apply
    .
When viewers run the report, the version offset displays in parentheses.
