Administering access control settings enables you to control what your users can view and perform in their assigned area. Learn about access control settings on Peakon.

Personal Dashboard

You can configure
Personal dashboard
settings in
Individual
type groups, such as
Employees

Individual
group, these settings relate to their experience as a survey participant.

Update employees
Enables you to add or update employee records, within your assigned area. We recommend this setting for local administrators, who maintain the local employee records.
Backdate employee data
Enables backdating of data to make retroactive segment changes when updating employee records fields.
Administer employee records
Enables you to add, edit, or delete employee records within the segments you manage. Switching context to another segment updates the employee list accordingly.
Segment management access

Comments

Setting
Description
Access driver comments
Enables you to view, filter by, and export driver question comments. Where applicable, Peakon can also display highlighted comments and topics.
Access comments in real-time
When enabled, Peakon displays comments as soon as employees submit their surveys. When disabled, members of this access control group can only view new comments after the survey round ends.
Acknowledge driver comments
Enables you to acknowledge driver question comments, and see how many times other leaders acknowledged a comment.
Access value comments
Enables you to view, filter by, and export
Values
question comments, where relevant.
Acknowledge value comments

Acknowledge open-ended comments
Enables you to acknowledge open-ended question comments, and to see how many times leaders acknowledged the comments.

Review detected sensitive comments in a separate view
Flags comments as sensitive and displays sensitive comments in a separate tab. When disabled, you can still view those comments, however, Peakon won't flag the comment as sensitive in your view.
Mark sensitive comments
Enables you to mark and unmark comments as sensitive. We recommend enabling this setting alongside the
View sensitive comments
setting, because it enables a manager to resolve false positive detections.
View comment managers
Displays the hierarchy of managers associated with the comment, starting from the direct manager. This list displays managers derived from employee type attributes.
The list might not always be fully complete, with some managers not appearing for confidentiality reasons. Example: A manager only has 1 direct report, or the segment of the manager conflicts with another segment within that context.
View comments by segment
Provides the option to filter comments by specific segments.
Semantic Search
Adds the Semantic Search tab, enabling you to search for comments by their contextual meaning, rather than just keywords. This permission displays after you opt in to Semantic Search data processing in
Administration
Account
Data Control.
After opting in to Semantic Search, members of the Administrators and Senior Leaders access control groups (if they can access comments) can see the Semantic Search tab immediately.
