Concept: Custom Sender Domains

By default, Workday Peakon Employee Voice sends emails from the no-reply address app@peakon.com. A custom sender domain enables you to send Workday Peakon Employee Voice emails from your own domain instead, so that emails reach your employees from an address they recognize.
Emails sent from a familiar domain are less likely to be caught by spam filters, and reinforce to employees that the survey comes from your organization.

Custom Sender Domains and Survey Senders

A custom sender domain isn't the same as the survey sender:
  • The survey sender is the name that displays to the recipient. You set it for each survey schedule.
  • The custom sender domain is the domain that the email is sent from. It applies across your account.
You can use both.

Domain Verification

Before Workday Peakon Employee Voice can send emails from your domain, you verify that you control it. Workday Peakon Employee Voice displays the Domain Name System (DNS) records for your domain, and you add them at your DNS provider.
Workday Peakon Employee Voice can't send emails from your domain until your DNS records are in place. When you set up a custom sender domain, you confirm that you updated your DNS records before you continue.

Email Delivery

Workday Peakon Employee Voice sends emails using Amazon Web Services (AWS), specifically Simple Email Service (AWS SES), whether or not you use a custom sender domain.
