Set Up People Experience Cards for Peakon Surveys Using Alpaca

Set up the integration between Workday and Peakon.
Alpaca authentication with tenant mapping and web service host complete.
Configure these security domains in the System functional area:
  • Set Up: Tenant Setup - Security
  • Security Administration
  • Self-Service: Take Surveys
You can send survey links and reminders directly to worker's
Timely Suggestions
on Workday home pages using People Experience (PEX) Cards. It’s possible to use PEX cards in combination with other survey notification channels, or as a standalone channel by deactivating email notifications.
To enable Alpaca authentication, contact Customer Care with your web service host and tenant name. You need to complete this step before creating your first survey, or after hard closing all active survey rounds.
Use the
Workday REST API Endpoint
within the
View API Clients
report to identify the web service host and tenant name. Example: When the endpoint is
https://wd3-services1.myworkday.com/api/v1/tenant_name
, then the web service host is
wd3-services1.myworkday.com
, and the tenant ID is
tenant_name
.
If you've already enabled Peakon’s Raw Data Export API feature, the PEX Alpaca feature must be mapped to the same Workday tenant and environment.
  1. Access the
    Home Card Workspace
    report.
  2. Select
    Add Card
    .
  3. Select the
    Peakon Employee Voice Survey Notification
    card.
  4. (Optional) Select
    Edit
on unpublished Peakon card to revise the notification.
  5. Select
    Publish Card
    .
PEX cards will notify employees from the next survey round. They typically display within 15 minutes from the moment that an employee’s survey notification is due.
PEX cards don’t trigger during survey rounds or when you use the
send test round
functionality in Peakon.
