Set Score Visibility Window

Set Score Visibility Window

Security: only members from the
Administrators
group can set visibility threshold settings.
Each driver score on Peakon is an average score consisting of each employee's latest answer to the specific question. The score aggregation settings dictate how far the dashboard should search for the latest score per question, per employee.
The visibility window moves forward with each new survey round, and locks in place when survey data stops coming in. The end point of the visibility window is the closing date of the round, within the dashboard context that you’re viewing. It's possible for the score and participation to be different in different views of the same segment, depending on the latest answer in that specific context.
If you exclude a question set from a survey round, the historical scores for that question set remain as they are without recalculating until the next time the question set is part of a survey round. The scores then recalculate in accordance with the validity settings.
Each survey shifts the visibility window, so eventually historical data stops contributing to the current score. If you switch your dashboard to an older round, the current score includes older data because the visibility window shifts further back in time.
We recommend setting
Aggregation period
to 1 year (52 weeks), to increase the number of data points contributing to each driver.
  1. Go to
    Administration
    Data Settings
    Scores
    .
  2. Set
    Aggregation period
    setting.
The setting is retroactive and covers the entirety of your data collection.
You’ve just closed a survey in June 2022. The
Aggregation period
setting is 1 year.
An employee answered the Autonomy questions multiple times since starting their employment.
  • Autonomy core question: May 2021, August 2021, January 2022.
  • Flexibility subdriver question: December 2021, May 2022.
  • Remote Work subdriver question: March 2021.
First, the Autonomy score for this employee disregards scores older than 1 year, so the May 2021 Autonomy and Remote Work score doesn't contribute to the calculation. Next, from the remaining scores, only the latest score from each question contributes to the current score.
The latest Autonomy core question score is from January 2022 and the Flexibility subdriver score is from May 2022, for this specific employee. The overall Autonomy driver score for the employee is the average of the 2 latest scores.
If you set the
Aggregation period
setting to 3 months, the employee only contributes the Flexibility subdriver score to the Autonomy driver.
Increasing the survey frequency to weekly could increase the amount of data when using a very short visibility period.
