Concept: Workflow Builder Overview
You can use Workflow Builder to define and automate each stage of a document’s lifecycle. You can help ensure consistent and efficient document processing with proper configuration of each stage before deployment. Example: A contract approval workflow can include stages for document intake, review, signing, and finalization.
Workflow Configuration Stages
Each workflow includes these configuration points that determine how documents progress through Contract Management and Document Intelligence:
Source:
Define the types of documents the workflow supports. Example: Users can upload existing documents, generate documents from a template, or do both. From this section you can also modify the name of the workflow.Form:
Configure intake form questions. You can specify that responses populate template fields when applicable. You can also apply conditions that show or hide fields, clauses, or requirements based on submitted answers.Review:
Assign reviewers and approvers for each item. Specify when approvals must occur.Sign:
Identify signers and configure the required e-signature integration.Finalize:
Specify actions that occur after the document is signed. Example: Create a billing record or set up a customer account.Settings:
Configure additional workflow settings such as archive destinations, file naming conventions, data field mappings, notification preferences, and user access permissions.
