Bundle E-Signatures

With this release, Workday introduces the ability to bundle document files from multiple tickets into a single signing package.
Business Benefits
These enhancements maximize negotiation productivity and accelerate contract review cycles by keeping reviewers fully contextualized within their preferred drafting tool.
Changes
  • You can now choose multiple tickets within the
    Sign
    stage to bundle for signature.
  • You can re-order the sequence of documents before they are sent for signature.
Considerations:
  • If you manually upload a signed document to a ticket that is part of an active bundle, the full envelope is voided, and you must manually upload the signed document to all tickets in that bundle.
  • Bundling is only available for tickets where signers sign at the same time. Staggered signing times still require individual tags in the e-signature platform.
  • Bundling is only available when the signers and the signing order matches for all of the tickets.
What Do I Need to Do?
You can bundle documents for signature from the Groups and Tickets Details pages:
From the Groups page:
  1. In
    Workflow
    >
    Groups
, click on a group that contains several tickets in the Sign stage.
  2. Select 2 or more tickets you want to bundle. Workday validates the signers match for you.
  3. Click
    Actions
    >
    Send to DocuSign / Adobe
    .
  4. Drag and drop the files to re-order the document sequence as needed.
  5. Click
    Submit
    .
From the Ticket Details Page:
  1. Open a ticket you want to add to a bundle.
  2. Click on
    Groups
    from the details panel.
  3. Click on the group and select 2 or more tickets you want to bundle. Workday validates the signers match for you.
  4. Click
    Actions
    >
    Send to DocuSign / Adobe.
  5. Drag and drop the files to re-order the document sequence as needed.
  6. Click
    Submit
    .
What Happens if I do Nothing?
If you don’t use the bundling feature, you can continue to send e-signature requests for each ticket individually.

Microsoft Word Connector for Workday Contract Lifecycle Management - AI Tool (Ticket Comments and Standard AI Clauses)

Workday keeps enhancing the Microsoft Word Connector by introducing new AI-driven extraction and real-time collaboration tools, delivered via the Microsoft Word desktop Add-in.
Business Benefits
These enhancements maximize negotiation productivity and accelerate contract review cycles by keeping reviewers fully contextualized within their preferred drafting tool.
Changes
We expand the functionality of the Microsoft Word desktop Add-in to surface Workday CLM workflow ticket comments and automated clause mapping:
Standard AI Clauses
  • The Add-in runs an automated AI scan of the document opened in Microsoft Word desktop and performs an initial extraction within minutes.
  • The task pane displays a structured map that automatically groups detected clauses by legal type and displays a total item count for each category.
  • Selecting an extracted clause card inside the task pane automatically scrolls the cursor to that specific location in the document and visually highlights the matching text.
  • Reviewers can search and refine clause extractions by typing specific keywords or filtering by standardized clause types.
  • The contract map remains dynamically scoped to the currently open document. To align clause identifications with any new text added during an editing session, reviewers need to close the document and reopen it from CLM once the editing session has ended.
Ticket Comments
  • We deliver a live-syncing comment panel that surfaces ticket-level comments and document-level comments with short excerpts of the referenced contract text.
  • The Add-in supports advanced threaded workflows, allowing users to reply directly in threads, resolve closed issues, and copy deep links to specific comments.
  • We add a type-ahead suggestion menu inside the comment panel to quickly tag and route questions to internal users or groups.
  • We also enable rich-text options in comments.
  • Reviewers can filter comments by status, source, or ownership, and sort them chronologically or by position in the document.
  • Comments are synchronized with the Workday CLM web interface in real time.
Considerations:
  • To prevent version conflicts and maintain a single source of truth, the Add-in blocks subsequent sessions if you attempt to edit documents across different platform instances (such as Production and Sandbox) simultaneously.
  • The CLM AI tool continues to inherit and enforce the Workflow visibility and permissions established in Workday CLM, ensuring that only users with Edit permissions for the current workflow stage can access these AI features.
  • These options are only available on the Workday CLM editor:
    • Saved questions
    • Batch processing
    • Automate with Custom AI
    • Document level comment highlighting & redirect: Clicking a document-level comment in the Add-In doesn’t highlight or jump to the corresponding text in the document.
  • Comments sync:
    • Document-level comments made during a Word editing session don’t appear in the Add-In until the document has synced back to CLM. Once synced, users must also click the refresh icon in the Add-In to find them.
    • Comments made during an editing session don’t appear in the web platform in real time. Users with the page open need to refresh to see updates.
What Do I Need to Do?
Prerequisites
The Microsoft Word Connector integration must be enabled and configured first. See Set Up Microsoft Word Connector for Contract Lifecycle Management
Steps
A Microsoft 365 administrator must perform these steps to deploy the Add-in to your organization:
  1. In the
    Microsoft 365 admin center
    , navigate to
    Settings
    >
    Integrated apps
    and select the
    Deployed apps
    tab.
  2. Select
    Upload custom apps
    .
  3. Choose
    Office Add-in
    and select
    Provide link to manifest file
    .
  4. Include the link corresponding to your region:
    1. Non-EU:
      https://scribyl.evisort.com/addin/manifest.production.xml
    2. EU:
      https://scribyl.eu1.evisort.com/addin/manifest.eu1.xml
  5. Assign the Add in to the appropriate audience:
    1. Entire Organization
    2. Specific users/groups (e.g., your Legal Team)
    3. Just me
  6. Review and accept the app permissions to finalize the deployment. Note: To complete the connection, a user in your organization must open the Workday CLM Add-in within Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, or PowerPoint). It may take up to 24 hours for the Add-in to appear in the Word ribbon for designated users.
Next Steps
  1. Open
    Word Desktop
    and select
    Add-ins
    .
  2. Workday CLM AI Tool should be visible under
    My Add-ins
. If it is not visible, select
    More Add-ins
    and navigate to
    Manage my apps
    .
What Happens if I do Nothing?
Users will still be able to sync documents using the Word connector, but they won’t have access to Workday CLM AI identifications within the Word desktop application.

EviSync Authentication Error Notifications

Workday sends automatic email notifications to administrators when a document synchronization pair fails authentication with a third-party platform.
Business Benefits
This enhancement helps admins catch and fix disconnected integrations immediately, reducing downtime and preventing delays in contract/document syncing.
Changes
Workday automatically sends email notifications to administrators when a document synchronization pair is taken offline due to certain types of errors with a third‑party provider. The notification includes:
  • The affected provider name
  • The explicit error type
  • The explicit error type
After resolving the issue with the external provider, administrators can go to the
Admin Console
and manually restart the synchronization.
Error types that generate notifications:
  • Authentication errors
  • Out of space errors
  • Data access errors
These types of errors take the synchronization offline and are user-recoverable.
Who receives the notifications
For this initial phase, Workday sends notifications to:
  • Built‑in Administrators
  • Owners
  • Legacy Admins
Users with custom roles, even if those roles have admin-like permissions, aren’t included.
What Do I Need to Do?
You don’t need to work on any additional setup to turn on the notifications.
We recommended these actions:
  • Confirm that the correct users are set up as Administrators, Owners, or Legacy Admins.
  • Establish an internal process for administrators to:
    • Review the notification details.
    • Resolve the issue with the external provider (auth, storage, or access).
    • Use the
      Admin Console
to manually restart the affected sync pair.
