Concept: Platform Consumption Console
The
Platform Consumption Console
dashboard enables Universal Main Subscription Agreement (UMSA) is available to all customers, both Main Service Agreement (MSA) and Universal Main Subscription Agreement (UMSA) subscribers, to monitor your usage of Workday offers. All customers can use the dashboard to review API requests and monitor document storage levels. Additionally, if you’re a UMSA subscriber, you can use the dashboard to track agent usage and manage your Flex Credit balance. subscribers to monitor their usage of Workday offers and associated Flex Credit balances.
Flex Credits Access and Policy Requirements
UMSA subscribers can use the
Platform Consumption Console
dashboard to visualize their company's use of Flex Credits based on their usage of Workday offers included in the Workday Flex Credits Rate Card. Flex Credits are only available to UMSA customers. UMSA customers are provided Flex Credits subject to either the Complimentary Flex Credits Policy incorporated in the UMSA Product Terms or the Flex Credits and Platform Entitlement Policy incorporated into an Order Form.
If you are subject to the Complimentary Flex Credits Policy, you must sign the Workday Flex Credits and Platform Entitlement Policy to continue using Workday AI agents once you have exhausted your complimentary Flex Credits.
Credit Balance and Entitlement
The
Credit Balance
page displays your daily Flex Credit activity. The Credit Entitlement
page displays your Flex Credit package purchase history, organized by these statuses:Status | Definition |

Active | Credits available for consumption. |
Expired | Credits that have expired. |
Inactive | Purchased credits that are available for consumption at a future date. |
All Flex Credits are fungible and you can apply them universally across the Workday offers in the Rate Card to which you are entitled.
When Workday issues Flex Credits to amend your Flex Credit balance, you can review the adjustment to your Flex Credit balance in the
Adjustment Reason
column on the All Packages
grid on the Credit Entitlement
page. This column doesn’t display if you haven’t experienced a Flex Credit adjustment. Rate Card
The
Rate Card
page is the definitive resource for the monetary value of your entitlements in terms of credit usage. Workday uses these variables to calculate usage:Column | Definition |

Credit Rate per Block | The rate charged for that block of units. |
Understanding and Tracking Usage
Workday updates your usage daily starting at 2:00 PM UTC to reflect the previous day's usage. These calculations may take up to 3 hours to complete. Usage is based on the specific capabilities defined in the
Rate Card
page and the policy version associated with your agreement. Workday uses multiple components to determine your usage:Component | Definition |

API Requests | Number of API requests. API requests are displayed for informational purposes before you sign the Flex Credits and Platform Entitlement Policy. Flex Credits are not charged unless you have signed the policy. |
Document Storage | Gigabytes (GB) of data stored. Usage of document storage does not result in Flex Credit consumption but is subject to service limits. See Reference: Document, File Size, and Printing Limits. |
Your policy provides a baseline usage allowance or embedded entitlement. After this embedded entitlement is used, Workday charges your usage against your available credit entitlements, prioritizing the credits that will expire first.
You can track your usage against this threshold in the Embedded Entitlement Overview visualization on the
Overview

If your organization has signed a version of the Workday Flex Credits and Platform Entitlement Policy that does not include platform components or entitlements, you won't see those entitlements or usage on the
Platform Consumption Console
dashboard.Credit Entitlement Notifications
Workday notifies you as you consume your active credit entitlement. When your credit entitlement usage reaches 80%, 90%, and 100%, users with access to the
Management Dashboard: Platform Consumption Console
domain receive notifications, and Workday displays a banner on the Platform Consumption Console

Workday enables the
Platform Consumption Console
dashboard in your Production and non-Production tenants. For most offers, use in non-Production tenants doesn’t affect your Workday Flex Credit balance. While non-Production tenants track your consumption and display an informational Workday Flex Credit balance, for most offers Workday only applies usage from your Production tenant against your organization's Flex Credit balance.Workday sends daily aggregate data across all of your non-Production tenants to the

dashboard in your Sandbox tenant, the dashboard displays combined activity from all of your non-Production environments.Adaptive Planning
Adaptive Planning customers can view a version of the
Platform Consumption Console
dashboard in their Adaptive Planning instance. You will need Planning Center permission to access the dashboard.
