Steps: Set Up Action Items for Matriculation
Configure the
Student Application Pre-Matriculation Event
business process and security policy in the Admissions functional area.You can configure Workday to delay matriculating applicants who have accepted their admissions offers until they've completed certain tasks. Examples: Applicants will be matriculated once they pay a deposit and submit outstanding official documents.
- Create action items that applicants should complete before Workday can matriculate them.
- Complete the task:OptionDescriptionStudent Selection CriteriaSpecify the applicants to which the requirements should apply. You can configure requirements to apply to:
- All applicants within your institution.
- Applicants with specific selections on their applications. Examples: All undergraduate applicants and applicants for a specific program of study.
Example: Applicants to theMusic Majorprogram of study must complete an audition, while applicants to theArt Majorprogram of study must complete a portfolio. Applicants to either program must also complete these requirements for the College of Arts and Sciences, and Alma Mater University:- Transcripts for the College of Arts and Sciences.
- Personal essays and emergency contact information for Alma Mater University.
Application Action ItemSelect the action item that applicants should complete before they can matriculate.Process DelaySelectMatriculation. - Edit Business Processes.Add these steps to theStudent Application Pre-Matriculation Eventbusiness process:
- Hold Matriculation if outstanding Application Requirements with Process Delay of Matriculation Exist: Part 1.
- Complete Matriculation once Application Requirements with Process Delay of Matriculation are Completed: Part 2.
When you add these steps, you can't add theMatriculate Student Applicantstep to the same business process.
Workday won’t matriculate applicants until they complete all application action items that have a
Process Delay
of Matriculation
