Steps: Set Up Conversion Year Legacy Data

In the calendar year that you begin using Workday to process 1098-T forms, students often have reportable transactions in both the legacy system and in Workday. To consolidate 1098-T processing for the conversion year, you can bring the legacy data into Workday.
  1. Select the conversion year.
  2. Run the
    Import 1098-T Legacy Data
     web service to load the legacy 1098-T transactions for the conversion year.
  3. (Optional) Access the
    Maintain 1098-T Conversion Year for Student
     task.
    You can add or update legacy data manually for an individual student.
    Security:
    Manage: 1098-T Processing
     domain in the Student Financials functional area.
Workday includes the legacy data in 1098-T calculations when generating 1098-T forms for the conversion year.
