Example: Calculate Overload Fees (Registration-Based Fees)
This example illustrates how to use registration-based fees to calculate an overload fee for students who register over a certain number of units. The example includes arithmetic calculations.
Alma Mater University charges tuition based on the number of units registered, and an additional overload fee to students who register for over 18 credit hours. The rate for overload students is a 5000 flat rate, plus 300 for every hour over 18 hours.
