Steps: Set Up Open Admissions

You can use open admissions, or Fast Path admissions, to move applications through the admissions process as quickly as possible. When a prospect applies to a program of study that is Fast Path-enabled, Workday automatically moves the application through the matriculation process and sets the stage to Student. Optionally, you can route applications to Fast Path application review to prevent applications with special considerations, such as those with academic disciplinary actions, from automatically matriculating.
  1. Configure the
    Student Application Fast Path Event
     business process and security policy in the Admissions functional area.
    (Optional) To route applications for Fast Path application review, add a 
    Flag for Fast Path Application Review
     service step after the
    Reconcile Student Applicant
     step. You can use condition rules to filter for applications to route. When you don't configure condition rules, the service routes all applications to Fast Path application review.
  2. To create programs of study for open admissions, select the
    Fast Path Enabled
     check box.
If configured, Workday flags applications for Fast Path application review. Otherwise, Fast Path applications matriculate immediately.
Review and take action on flagged applications.
