Close Application Groupings

Closing application groupings can help you organize and manage application cycles for your institution.
When you close a default application grouping, Workday closes all of its subordinate application groupings as well. When you close a subordinate application grouping, Workday closes just that subordinate grouping and keeps the default and any other related subordinate groupings open.
- Access theView Application Groupingreport.
- Select from the related actions menu of the application grouping.
- Select theClose Application Groupingcheck box.
When you close an application grouping, Workday:
- Appends(Inactive)to the application grouping.
- Cancels related business process events and removesMy Tasksitems.
- Closes the application pools.
- Sets the status of each application in the grouping toInactive, including applications without a decision.
- Sets the status of each corresponding recruitment record toInactive, unless the recruitment is linked to another active application.
You can't create subordinate application groupings, even if the inactive grouping is a subordinate whose default is still active. To create a subordinate grouping, copy an active grouping.
