  2. As you complete the task, consider:
    Option Description
    Disable Policy
(Optional) Stop applicant score or application GPA calculations for the academic unit and level or program of study.
    When you disable a policy:
    • The academic unit and level or program of study doesn't inherit any policies from superior academic units.
    • Workday also stops calculations for subordinate academic units and programs of study, unless they have their own policies.
When you reactivate a policy by clearing the check box, Workday restores the hierarchical relationship.
    Student Applicant Score Scale
    Student Application GPA
Select the student applicant score scale or application GPA that applies to the policy.
When you configure the policy for an academic unit and level, the prompt:
    • Includes student applicant scores scales or application GPAs that are configured for academic units and levels that are the same as or superior to the policy.
    • Excludes student applicant score scales or application GPAs that are configured for academic units and levels that are subordinate to the policy.
    • Excludes inactive student applicant score scales or application GPAs.
When you configure the policy for a program of study, you can only select student applicant score scales or application GPAs that are configured for the academic unit and level that the program of study is a subordinate to.
    Calculation
Select a calculation that calculates the student applicant score or application GPA for applications in the academic unit and level or program of study. You can select from calculations in the Admissions category.
When you calculate applicant scores for an application in the academic unit and level or program of study, Workday:
  • Calculates the score using the calculation on the policy.
  • Compares the score to the applicant score scale of the policy to determine the rating and records it on the application.
When you calculate application GPAs, Workday records the application GPA of the relevant policy to the application.
