Set Up Preliminary Admission Recommendation Policies
- Create applicant score scales.
- Create admission decision reasons.
- Security:Manage: Admissions Foundationdomain in the Admissions functional area.
You can map applicant score scale ratings to preliminary admission recommendations.
Workday prepopulates initial internal decisions with preliminary admission
recommendations, which can save reviewers time when they evaluate student
applications.
Preliminary admission recommendations can also save you time when mass rendering
decisions. Example: Assign all applications with an applicant score of 50 or below a
preliminary admission recommendation of Deny. Then mass render a decision of Deny
for all applications that have a preliminary admission recommendation of Deny.
- Access theMaintain Preliminary Admission Recommendation Policytask. If the academic unit and level or program of study already has a policy, whether inherited or directly configured, Workday displays the policy details as of the most recent effective date. Workday only displays the first grid of the inherited policy, but the second grid (if applicable) is still in effect for the academic unit or program of study until you configure a new policy.
- In theApplicant Score Scaleprompt, select the scale from which to map ratings to preliminary academic recommendations.
- In the first configurable grid, map ratings from the applicant score scale to preliminary admissions recommendation and admission decision reasons.
- (Optional) In the second configurable grid, more granularly map ratings to preliminary admission recommendations by applicant type or campus location. If you select both an applicant type and a campus location for a row, the application must meet both conditions to be eligible for that preliminary admission recommendation.
