Reference: Pell Load Status Examples
Workday provides Pell load status units so that students can receive appropriate financial aid when adjusting course enrollments. The value of the final Pell load status units is always the lesser of the maximum and potential Pell load status units.
This table illustrates how Workday determines the value of Pell load status units in different scenarios:
Scenario | Number of Units on the Registration Record (RR) | Maximum Pell Load Status Units | Potential Pell Load Status Units | Final Pell Load Status Units |
|---|---|---|---|---|
The Course Section Start Date (CSSD) is before the Final Pell Recalculation Date (FPRD).
The student registers before FPRD and CSSD. | 6 for RR1. | 6 for RR1. | 6 for RR1. | 6 |
CSSD is after FPRD.
The student registers before FPRD and CSSD. | 4 for RR1. | 4 for RR1. | 4 for RR1. | 4 |
CSSD is after FPRD.
The student registers before FPRD and CSSD. The student withdraws after CSSD. | 5 for RR1. | 5 for RR1. | 5 for RR1. | 5 |
CSSD is before FPRD.
The student registers before FPRD but after CSSD. | 3 for RR1. | 3 for RR1. | 3 for RR1. | 3 |
FRD is after the Pell Recalculation Date (PRD). In this case, the registration date becomes FPRD. | 4 for RR1. | 4 for RR1. | 4 for RR1. | 4 |
