Steps: Set Up Academic Structure
- Map out the academic structure of your institution before you set it up in Workday.
In Workday Student, you create an academic structure for your institution and
configure these options:
- The academic levels it offers, such as Associates, Undergraduate, and Professional.
- The academic units, such as the schools, colleges, departments, or other divisions with academic levels.
- These units can recruit prospects, admit students, offer programs of study, offer courses, or administer financial aid.
- AnInstitutionor aCompanydesignation for academic units.
- Academic unit hierarchies that enable roll-up reporting.
- Access theMaintain Academic Levelstask and define academic levels, such as Undergraduate and Associates.Enter a uniqueAcademic Level Nameto display on transcripts. More than 1 institution can have the same level.TheIn Usecheck box identifies levels associated with an academic unit.Security:

- Set Up: External Studentdomain in the Staffing functional area.
