Evaluate Academic Progress

Evaluate Academic Progress

The academic progress report displays a student’s progress towards completion of their educational objectives. When evaluating academic progress, Workday considers all possible registrations from the academic record and applies them to requirements.
Workday automatically runs the academic progress evaluation job for students:
For more information about the events that trigger immediate or nightly evaluations, see Reference: Academic Progress Evaluation Triggers.
Workday doesn’t automatically evaluate academic progress when you update:
  • An academic requirement for an academic unit and level, program of study, or program area.
  • The academic requirements configuration for an academic unit and level, program of study, or program area.
For these configuration changes, you must manually launch the academic process evaluation.
You can launch academic progress evaluations for:
  • The node where you configured or updated the academic requirements. Example: You configure external articulation limits for the Economics program. You can evaluate academic progress for all students enrolled in the Economics Major program of study.
  • An individual student. You can access the applicable task from the related actions menu of the student profile in the Advising menu option.
For tenants with multiple institutions, you can evaluate academic progress for the academic records at the institution to which you have access.
