Steps: Set Up Inventory for Recalls
- Set up purchase items.
- Set up manufacturers.
- Add manufacturer part numbers on purchase items.
We enable you to manage and track item recalls in Workday. You can coordinate responses to
recalled items and easily locate the sites, stocking locations, par locations,
purchase orders, and issue transactions where the impacted item is present.
- Edit Domain Security Policies.Set up these security domains in the Inventory and Procurement functional areas:
- Reports: Recall.
- Setup: Recall.

- Access theEdit Company ID Definitionstask.On theCompany-Specific Settingstab, configure theID Generator for Recall Responseprompt.Security:Set Up: Company Generaldomain in the Common Financial Management functional area.
- Access theMaintain Recall Categoriestask.Set up the different types of recall scenarios for your business, such as materials recalls or clinical laboratory recalls.
- Access theMaintain Recall Severitytask.Add the various levels of severity for the recall, and how they applies to your specific business.You can only set 1 recall severity as high priority.
- Access theMaintain Recall Sourcestask.Add sources where your item recalls could originate from. Example: the FDA or other governing agencies.
