Create a Recall
- Set up purchase items.
- Configure theRecall Eventbusiness process and security policy in the Inventory and Procurement functional areas.
- Security:Process: Recalldomain in the Inventory and Procurement functional areas.
Start the item recall process in Workday and add the specific details for the affected items.
- Access theCreate Recalltask.
- As you complete the task consider:
Option Description Item DescriptionAny relevant information about the item that can help workers locate the defective item.Manufacturer Part NumberWhen the number you enter matches the part number on the purchase item, Workday populates theItemandMatched Manufacturerfields.Matched ManufacturerSelect the manufacturer associated with the purchase item. - As you complete theRecall Detailssection, consider:
Option Description Manufacture From Date / Manufacture To DateEnter the date range window for when the production of the particular batch of recalled item happened. This usually corresponds to a particular lot number, that was manufactured within a certain date range.Universal Part NumberEnter the 12-digit universal product code of the item. You can scan the part number into Workday from item barcodes.Global Trade Item NumberEnter the 14-digit global item identifier. You can scan the item number into Workday from item barcodes.National Drug CodeEnter the 10-digit product code if applicable. You can scan the code into Workday from item barcodes. - (Optional) Add any attachments to the recall.

task to review and take action on recall alerts created in Workday and third party integrations. From this task you can access the Review Recall Line Details
task to take action on specific recall lines and the items associated with them.
