Create Custom Fields for the Reporting Model

Create Custom Fields for the Reporting Model

Custom fields provide a path to report on and drill to additional attributes directly in OfficeConnect.
The data type for a custom field gets defined when you create the initial field mapping. They become a part of the reporting model business object and you can map to them uniquely for future data sources.
You can configure the reporting model to include custom fields:
  • For Show Details to enable drilling to them in OfficeConnect.
  • As dimensions to enable reporting on them in OfficeConnect. You can configure only instance type custom fields as dimensions. To configure text fields as dimensions, you must first convert them using the Analytic Dimension business object. See Steps: Create Instance Fields for Prism Data Sources.
