Set Up Time Entry Calendars
- Create a time entry template.
- Security:Set Up: Time Trackingdomain in the Time Tracking functional area.
Specify the methods workers can use to enter time on their time entry calendar. Configure how a time entry calendar behaves and displays.

Option Description Primary CalendarSelect whether Workday displays a calendar view that matches the worker's Time Tracking period schedule.If you select any option for this prompt, configure 1 or more additional totals to avoid validation errors. See Set Up Calendar Totals.Default Calendar ViewSelect whether the default view for workers is theWeeklyview orMonthlyview.Additional Enabled Calendar ViewsSelect so that workers can change their calendar view from the default to an additional enabled view. - Complete theEntry Methodssection.
- Select the time entry options that workers can use to enter time. Also enable these options on theEnter Timebusiness process security policy before workers can use them. While workers can access some time entry methods from theMonthlycalendar view, they still enter time 1 week at a time.Time Entry MethodDescriptionView AvailabilityAuto-fill from Prior WeekEnable workers to copy hours from a prior week to the current week. Currently, you can select only theEnter Time by Typetime entry method. You can view this option only if you select theEnter Time by Typecheck box.

Option Description Auto Expand Payroll Costing AllocationsAutomatically expand thePayroll Costing as of End of Weekworklet on a worker's time entry calendar. This worklet displays the worker's default costing allocations.Hide Pay Date IndicatorsHide Time Period Locked IndicatorsHide Time Period End IndicatorsHide the pay date, time period locked, or time period end indicators on the time entry calendar. If you don't hide the indicators, the time entry calendar displays them on the days the respective events take place.Display Absence BalancesDisplay aView Absence Balancesbutton on the time entry calendar.
