Steps: Set Up Learning Content Creators

You might need to take additional steps to enable this feature based on your organization's subscription service agreement. Your organization is either on the Main Service Agreement (MSA) or the Universal Main Service Agreement (UMSA). To determine your organization's subscription service agreement:
  1. Select your profile avatar on
    Workday Community
    .
  2. Select
    Profile
    .
  3. On your profile page, select your organization's name, which is beneath your name and next to your job title.
  4. View your
    Subscription Service Agreement
    value.
If the value is:
Note: UMSA customers don't have Innovation Services tasks and reports in their tenants as these are for MSA customers only. UMSA customers can ignore all information regarding Innovation Services.
You assign workers to a user-based security group that has
View
and
Modify
permisisons on the
Manage: Learning Native Content
domain. Those workers author content in
Sana Create
and submit it to Workday Learning.
Workday delivers a user-based security group named
Learning Content Creator
with preconfigured permissions when implementor setup applies the delivered security configuration. If you don't see
Learning Content Creator
in the
View User-Based Security Group
report, work with your implementor to deliver the group, or create a user-based security group and grant
View
and
Modify
permissions on the
Manage: Learning Native Content
domain. See Reference: Security Domains for Learning.
  1. Access the
    Domain Security Policies for Functional Area
    report.
    1. From the related actions menu of the
      Manage: Learning Native Content
      domain security policy, select
      Domain Security Policy
      Enable
      .
    Security:
    Security Activation
    domain in the System functional area.
  2. Configure a user-based security group.
    If your tenant includes the Learning Content Creator security group:
    1. Access
      View User-Based Security Group
      and open
      Learning Content Creator
      .
    2. Confirm
      Learning Content Creator
      and Learning Administrator are on the
      Manage: Learning Native Content
      domain with
      View
      and
      Modify
      .
    3. Confirm constrained or unconstrained access on
      Manage: Learning Native Content
      matches your design.
    If your tenant doesn't include the
    Learning Content Creator
    security group:
    1. Create a user-based security group. See Create User-Based Security Groups.
    2. Access
      Edit Domain Security Policies
      and grant
      View
      and
      Modify
      permissions on the
      Manage: Learning Native Content
      domain.
    3. Set constrained or unconstrained access as needed.
  3. Assign the
    Assign Users to User-Based Security Group
    task to assign users to the security group to create, edit, and view Sana content.
  4. Activate Pending Security Policy Changes.
Designated workers with access to the
Manage: Learning Native Content
domain can create and submit content in
Sana Create
from the
Learning Admin Hub
