Steps: Set Up Establishments
You can set up establishments for physical or service locations where your company conducts business. You can assign establishments to workers manually or automatically, making it easier to comply with global regulatory reporting standards, such as EEO reporting.
You can also propose establishments for candidates and assign establishments to workers.
- Edit Domain Security Policies.Security: These domains in the in the Regulatory Reporting (HCM) functional area:
- Set Up: Establishment
- Worker Data: Establishments
- Configure theAssign Establishmentbusiness process security policy in the Jobs & Positions functional area.
- Edit Business Processes.Configure theAssign Establishmentbusiness process to assign establishments to workers.You can either addComplete Observer Assignmentas an action step to theAssign Establishmentbusiness process or addAssign Establishmentas a substep to these business processes:
- Add Additional Job
- Change Job
- Contract Contingent Worker
- Edit Position
- Hire
If you configureAssign Establishmentas a substep, you must have a completion step before theAssign Establishmentstep.If you addComplete Observer Assignmentas an action step:- You must set it as the completion step.
- Workday recommends you add a condition rule so the step initiates for locations that use EEO-1 reporting.
- Workday secures the establishment to the security group you specify for this step.
If you addComplete Observer Assignmentstep to theAssign Establishmentbusiness process and then addAssign Establishmentas a substep to an applicable staffing business process, Workday ignores theComplete Observer Assignmentstep even if there is a condition rule to skip theAssign Establishmentsubstep. - Access theConfigure Establishment by Countrytask.As you complete the task, consider:OptionConsiderationsLegal Entity TypeSelect the organization level to associate with establishments.Allow assignment of multiple jobs per workerIf you don't select this check box, automatic assignments are only based on a worker's primary position.Inactivate auto reassignment of establishmentsSelect this check box to turn off assigning establishments automatically.Allow Establishment on Employment Agreement/OfferSelect this check box to add theEstablishmentprompt to theEmployment AgreementandOfferbusiness processes.Select the organization level to associate with establishments in theLegal Entity Typefield.If you don't select theAllow assignment of multiple jobs per workercheck box, automatic assignments are only based on a worker's primary position.
- Access theMaintain Establishmenttask to create or update establishments.Select the business sites associated with theCountry for Establishmentin theLocationfield. Enter the code numbers for the reports specified in theConfigure Establishment by Countrytask.TheLocationfield only displays locations that have an address with:
- The same Country as theCountry for Establishmentfield.
- AnEffective Datethat's on or before today's date.
- (Optional) Access theAssign Establishmenttask to assign establishments to workers manually.You can also manually assign establishments to workers when you enable automatic assignments. However, Workday reassigns them based on your automatic establishment configuration the next time the business process runs. Workday recommends that you turn off automatic assignments to prevent automatic overrides before you manually assign establishments to workers.
- (Optional) Enable autocomplete on theAssign Establishmentbusiness process definition.When you select theEnable Autocompletecheck box and there is a default establishment, Workday automatically completes the add establishment step as a substep of applicable staffing events.
- You can create a custom report using theStaff Movements (Reporting France) Eventsdata source for French legal reporting requirements.
- You can view all establishments set up in your tenant for a particular country using theEstablishment Set Upreport.
