Steps: Add Services from Services Catalog

Set up quote configurations. See Steps: Set Up Quote topic.
Create services catalog. See Steps: Create Services Catalog topic.
Security: Configure these domains in the Services CPQ functional area:
  • Process: Quotes
  • View: Quote Project Hierarchies
You can add a pre-configured service to the quote from a catalog. You can specify the project hierarchy, service type, duration, roles, hours, non-recurring items, expenses, and third party costs for a service.
To add services with the
Effort Estimation Type
 of
With Phases and Tasks
, create the service manually.
  1. Access the
    Create Quote
    task.
  2. Access the related actions menu under the
    Action
     column in the quote line, and click
    Add Service from Catalog
    .
    1. To add a service to the quote, click
      Add To Quote
       on the service card.
      Before adding a service to the quote:
      • You can select
        View Details
         from the related actions menu of the pre-configured service card to see all the relevant details.
      • You can modify the
        Basic Details
         and
        Pricing
         options of a service.
      You can also search for a service by keywords, or filter to find specific services.
    2. Click the
      Go To Quote
       button to navigate back to the quote page.
Workday adds the selected services to the quote.
  • You can continue to build the quote and take these actions in the quote grid:
    • Edit, copy, move, or delete the service.
    • Add roles, items, discounts, expenses, and third party costs. See Add Custom Service Manually.
  • Edit totals.
  • Edit worktags.
  • Modify Quantity and FTE values for roles.
  • Copy or cancel the quote.
  • Once approved, you can:
    • Change the quote.
    • Print the quote document.
