Concept: Account Reconciliation Hub

Concept: Account Reconciliation Hub

The
Account Reconciliation Hub
is a central location for you to set up and manage account reconciliation, and for preparers and approvers to view and access reconciliations. The hub contains these sections:
  • Reconciliation Overview
  • Tasks
  • Rules and Configuration

Reconciliation Overview

The
Reconciliation Overview
section contains the
Account Reconciliation Overview
report, which is the primary location for interacting with reconciliations.
When you first access this report, Workday doesn't display any data. You must filter by fiscal period to display reconciliations. You can also filter by company or hierarchy, and book.
After you select a filter, the
All Reconciliations
tab displays all reconciliations that you have access to through roles on account reconciliation definitions. From this tab, managers can filter reconciliations by status, track progress, and understand the overall workload. Preparers can start preparing reconciliations that have the status
Not Started
, or reassign reconciliations that another user has begun preparing.
The
Assigned to Me
tab displays all reconciliations for which you are the active preparer or approver. This tab helps you manage and prioritize your workload by providing a clear list of current and upcoming tasks.
Both tabs contain filter tiles that indicate the number of reconciliations in each status, such as
In Progress
or
Certified
. You can click these tiles to show only reconciliations in a particular status in the grid.
Within the grid, you can view key details about each reconciliation, such as the ledger balance, the totals of supporting balances and reconciling items, and the users assigned to the reconciliation. When the reconciliation is certified, you can also view the certified balance and any difference between the certified balance and the current balance.
When you click
View
on a reconciliation in the grid, Workday displays the
View Reconciliation Workspace
report, which provides detailed information about an individual reconciliation. See Concept: Account Reconciliation Workspace.

Tasks

The
Tasks
section enables you to quickly access these commonly-used reconciliation tasks:
  • Create Account Reconciliation for Period
  • Schedule Automatic Certification for Account Reconciliation
  • Cancel Account Reconciliation for Period
  • Reconciliation Definition Coverage Check
If you customized the
Account Reconciliation Hub
navigation before 2026-05-22, the
Tasks
section doesn’t display by default. You can add the
Tasks
section manually by accessing the
Customize Hub Navigation
task through the
Maintain Hubs
report and adding the
Tasks
navigation item group.

Rules and Configuration

The
Rules and Configuration
tab enables you to quickly access tasks and reports to:
  • View and manage your account reconciliation definitions.
  • Mass assign users to roles on reconciliation definitions.
