Assign Direct Reports to a Manager
Security:
View employees
and Update employees
.Peakon creates a reporting line, when an employee record contains the name of a manager in an employee-type attribute field, such as the standard
Manager
attribute. It’s also possible to backdate the changes to align historical survey data with the new manager. If you need to create reporting lines in bulk, we recommend using a data upload instead. This task provides instructions to assign employees to managers within Peakon manually.
- Create the employee records of the employees reporting to the manager.
- Go to each employee record and select the name of the manager in theManagerfield.
- (Optional) Backdate the values, if the change must be retroactive. Example: the employee started reporting to this manager before the survey started. We recommend that the validity date reflects the real-life start of the reporting line, for confidentiality reasons.
- Save changes.
Those employees now report into the manager directly. If the employees are managers themselves, the upper manager now has 2 segments:
Direct reports
and All reports
.
