When creating the attribute, you can lock this setting by preventing further changes to the restricted status. This setting is relevant for sensitive attributes, to protect employee data.	Users who don’t have access to view restricted attributes are still able to view a segment of a restricted attribute if: They’re the manager of that segment on Peakon. The segment is a child segment of a segment that they’re the manager of. Restricting an attribute excludes it from True Benchmark adjustments. It also won't display as a focus segment for managers who don’t have access to restricted attributes.
Targeted data collection	Targeted data collection enables you to use editable attributes on the same schedule, while ensuring that only a group of employees from the schedule can complete editable attributes.	-
Name localization and Description localization	It’s possible to add translations manually for attribute names in all dashboard languages. Managers viewing their dashboard in a specific language will see a localized version of the attribute names. For employee editable attributes, it's also possible to edit the description localization in all survey languages, to explain the attribute to the employee. When the employee opens their survey and sees the editable attributes, the attribute description provides additional context.	All employee import data must be in the default language, not in a language you used for localization. Uploading employee data in the translated language will create new segments. You can only add attribute name and description translations on the attributes page manually.
Segments from imported data	It’s possible to create new segments using employee data uploads. To prevent segment creation from uploads, use the Segments from imported data setting on the specific attribute. When using this setting, Peakon fails uploads that don't match the exact name of a segment. Peakon advises you to make changes to the data sheet and select one of the existing segments.	Available after attribute creation. We recommend this setting on attributes that target access groups, if local administrators use segmentation to grant access to users.
Branded segments	Segment branding is available on the option type attribute, and replaces the company name and logo with segment name and logo. After configuring, it’s possible to preview the survey as an employee from the branded segment.	Available after attribute creation. Disable this setting if you use survey branding.
Aliases	Adding an alias to an attribute will enable the system to match attributes on Peakon and your data file, even when the names aren’t the same.	It’s possible to add multiple aliases by inputting a comma-separated list. We recommend renaming the attribute on Peakon. The Alias is useful when renaming isn’t an option.
