Concept: Segment Manager Import

Concept: Segment Manager Import

Overview

You can use a data import file to assign already-existing segments to leaders. It's also possible to export a list of the segment managers you have already assigned manually. See Concept: Segment Managers for a list of supported attributes, considerations, and other methods of granting segment access.

Segment Manager Import

  • Use the template from the
    Import Managers
    tab on the attribute.
  • Segment names in the file must be an exact match to segment names in Peakon.
  • Identify managers by their full name, email address, or employee number.
  • Use multiple rows if a manager needs access to multiple segments from the same attribute.
  • Only tick the overwrite box if you need to revoke existing segment manager access, and overwrite all changes. If you don't tick the box, the upload adds new segment managers without affecting the existing configuration.
  • When importing managers on an
    Employee
type attribute, the template contains a
    Direct Reports
    column with accepted values
    TRUE
    and
    FALSE
    . Set the value to
    TRUE
if you need to assign the Direct Reports segment, set the value to
    FALSE
if you need to assign the All Reports segment.

Segment Manager Export

You can use the
Export Managers
tab to export managers you have already assigned to segments manually.
The file doesn't display relationships derived from reporting lines or hierarchies. Example: When you export managers of an
Employee
type attribute, the export only contains the managers that you’ve added manually.
