Update Question Set With Question Refresh

.
We've introduced the ability for administrators to upgrade the Engagement and Health and Wellbeing question sets to the latest question version within your Peakon instance. All reworded questions come with reworded translations.
Workday Peakon is transitioning to a Concept: Flexible Listening Question Model and Score which provides greater simplicity and flexibility to our question model through a number of enhancements.
For customers who had their Workday Peakon production instances created from the 31st March 2026 onwards, you will use the flexible listening question model unless you opted out. To learn more about question versions in the flexible listening question model, read this article here.
For customers who had their Workday Peakon production instance created before 31st March 2026, you will continue to use the existing Workday Peakon Question model until we make it possible for you to upgrade to the flexible listening question model in the 26R2 and 27R1 release cycles. Please read the below carefully to understand the impact of these changes.
We recommend upgrading your questions outside of a live survey round to reduce disruption.
Once you upgrade your questions:
  • The old version of each question will continue to display in manager, shared, and personal dashboards until its survey data is outside the visibility window (3, 6, or 12 months in survey time, depending on your settings). Once the survey data is outside your selected validity window, the old questions will only be visible when displaying historical survey data.
  • Validity window permitting, users will see both versions of each question in dashboard, driver, and question score pages, when clicking on the
    ?
icon to display the questions that contribute to the score. Each version will have its own dashboard and
    Score over time graph
    .
  • The score of each driver and sub-driver will be the aggregate of responses to both versions of the question. However, once you upgrade your questions, the survey will no longer ask the old version of each question.
  • Historical data will still be visible for each driver and sub-driver.
  • Comments will display the version of the question that was in use when the comment was made.
  • The upgrade won’t impact any custom questions that you’ve added.
  • The upgrade won't activate any questions that you've deactivated. The old version of each question will no longer be available in
    Administration
    Question Library
. An exception will happen if you’ve edited the old question, have any custom translations, or segment targeting. In that case, both versions of the question will display in
    Administration
    Question Library
. You can manually configure any necessary translations or segment targeting to the new version of the question before deleting the old question.
  1. Go to
    Administration
    Question Library
    .
  2. Open the question set you need to update.
  3. On the blue banner, click
    Upgrade Questions
    .
  4. Click
    Confirm
    .
The new questions will reflect immediately on the question set configuration page. The old version of each question will continue to display in manager, shared and personal dashboards until its survey data is outside the visibility window.
