FAQ: ANCC Magnet Nursing Excellence Question Set

FAQ: ANCC Magnet Nursing Excellence Question Set

What’s the cost of the question set?
The question set is available at no additional cost for all Workday Peakon Employee Voice customers.
What is Magnet?
“Magnet” is a designation awarded to hospitals by the American Nurses’ Credentialing Center (ANCC) in recognition for the highest standards of nursing care and practice.
What will this question set help our organization to measure?
These questions are ANCC approved and will help healthcare organisations assess nurse satisfaction with aspects of their work experience, interactions with nursing leadership, and perceptions of the quality of nursing care in their healthcare setting.
Can non healthcare organizations use this question set?
Yes they can however, this question set has been created specifically to help our Healthcare customers to collect the feedback they need as part of trying to achieve or maintain Magnet designation.
I can’t see see this question set in the product. How can I get access to it?
You will need to raise a support ticket to have this question set enabled for your organisation in the back office.
I already use ANCC Magnet questions in the company question set. What will happen to those questions and data if I start using the ANCC Magnet question set?
Whilst we would like our customers to use the new ANCC Magnet Nursing Excellence question set we have recently added to the product, we must provide the disclaimer that we are currently unable to migrate the data from your company question set implementation of the ANCC Magnet questions to the newly added question set, which would enable you to achieve score continuity of your questions. If score continuity is important for your organisation, then we advise that you continue to use the Company question set implementation of this question set.
I am using some of the ANCC questions within the company question set. Are the questions in the newly added ANCC Magnet question set the same or different?
If you are using the exact same question wording from the original ANCC Magnet Nursing Excellence questions set, then you will see no difference in the question set now added to the Peakon product.
Does this question set require use with engagement questions or is it standalone like the D&I module?
This is a standalone question set.
When would it be best for me to implement these questions?
It's up to the individual organization to decide when to ask the questions. If you have never collected employee feedback on this topic before, you can start including these questions in your survey straight away to obtain some form of baseline. You may want to ask these questions alongside other question sets as part of your regular survey cadence. Or you might want to ask all / some of these questions separately in response to specific initiatives in your organisation that you would like to gain employee feedback on at a certain point.
Can we issue the question set to particular departments or for cross function (matrix) teams?
Yes, you have control over who you ask the questions to and when.
Does this question set come with external benchmarks?
We do provide external benchmarks however these are currently not in the product, this is something we are planning to add at a later date. Please refer to this article on how to use our benchmark template to obtain external benchmarks for this question set and follow the instructions on Add Benchmark for ANCC Magnet Nursing Excellence Question Set.
Can we opt into the question set but then select to use them later?
Yes. You can simply select which ones you want to add, or add some and remove them later from the question pool.
Can I add custom sub questions?
It's possible to add up to 5 custom questions per driver. Exercise caution, as it will affect participation on this question, because it will take longer for all questions to reach each employee.
Can I add rules to these questions?
No, you won’t be able to add rules to these questions. You can only do this on the onboarding and exit question sets.
