Concept: Usage Metrics
Background
The
Usage Metrics
report within Analysis
provides data on manager:- Logins
- Actions plans
- Comment interactions
The report helps you recognize good leadership behavior, and identify anyone needing additional guidance to support their teams.
For the login and action plan reports, the activity next to each manager is their own, rather than the activity on the segments they manage. If the manager moves around the organization, their activity moves with them.
For the comment interaction report, the activity next to each manager is from their segment, which can include activity from other managers. Example: The
All reports
segment of the CEO displays interactions from other managers in teams that are in the CEO's hierarchy.User Interface
The report displays managers who:
- Have access to a segment or a company dashboard.
- Are above the data visibility threshold. It's also possible to filter by all managers.
- Are employees of the segment context that you're viewing. Example: If you set your context toFrance (Office Location), the report displays managers whose Office Location on their own employee record value isFrance.
Click the heading of the card to see more information for each activity type. You can filter the report by a specific attribute, timeframe, and dashboard visibility.
Activity Types
The information that the report displays always relates to the selected timeframe. The end point for the timeframe options is today. Example: If you select last month, it displays metrics counting back 1 month from today, regardless of any survey activity during that time.

Action Plans
| Provides the ability to switch between planned and completed actions, and displays:
It's also possible to export the content of action plans from this report. See Export Action Plans. If a manager deletes an action they’ve created, it still contributes to their activity in the usage metrics report. The report doesn't display actions created by other users on the segment of the manager. Example: If you create an action on the segment of a manager, the action displays next to your name in the report. |
Comment Interactions
| Provides the ability to switch between all comment interactions, initiated conversations and comment acknowledgments. The report displays:
The number of available comments in this report are from surveys that ran during the selected timeframe. The report enables you to switch between percentage and number format, and between manager direct reports and all reports segments. A back-and-forth conversation on a single comment counts as 1 reply. If other managers join the conversation, the report displays 1 reply for each manager. Internal notes don't count as interactions in this report. The export functionality includes an additional tab with information from the legacy export functionality, with comment interactions per individual manager. |
