FAQ: How Does Peakon Calculate My Team’s Engagement Score?
The engagement score consists of these 4 questions:
- How likely is it that you would recommend [Company] as a place to work?
- How likely is it you would recommend [Company]’s services to friends and family?
- If you were offered the same job at another organisation, how likely is it you would stay at [Company]?
- Overall, how satisfied are you working at [Company]?
Employee question scores need to be within your organization's visibility window in order to qualify. The options are that your organization can select are 3 months, 6 months, or 1 year, in survey time.
If your organization has deactivated any of these questions for the duration of the visibility period, the question(s) won't contribute to the current engagement score.
Peakon first identifies each employee's latest score to each of the 4 questions to calculate the average engagement score for the employee. If the employee hasn't answered one or more of the 4 questions within the visibility window, it simply doesn't contribute to that employee's average engagement score.
Finally, the team-level engagement score is the average of each employee's own engagement score.
It's possible for an employee's engagement score to consist of less than 4 questions, if some of their scores are outside the visibility window or if they haven't answered some or all of the 4 questions at all. This is why the 4 question average at team-level won't necessarily mirror the team level engagement score.
